Hello,
I saw at some Servers that instead of the IP they have they’re servernames and then “.TS3” behind it to join on they’re teamspeak-servers. I wanted to ask if anyone can do it or if you have to pay for it ?
PAID OPTION
If you own a domain (you have bought it already) you can create your own teamspeak link.
So let’s say you own “domain.com”. You can point it to your teamspeak’s ip address and it will work.
If you want a subdomain instead you can create for example “ts3.domain.com” and point that to your teamspeak server. Also there is the option for an srv record. More info about srv records can be found here: https://support.teamspeak.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002711418-Does-TeamSpeak-3-support-DNS-SRV-records
FREE OPTION
You just have to go in your myteamspeak accout under the “Server Nicknames” and register a free nickname for your server. myTeamSpeak
Regards.
