I was helping a friend use and setup TS5, so I downloaded and installed it. It would not take my myteamspeak login even though it was working in TS3 and synced. When I tried to create a new account it said my email was already in use, so I reset the password. It gave me the message about losing my account info, which I wasn’t concerned with because I had the TS3 account. I got my friend up and going and went back to ts3 only to get a “cannot connect to myteamspeak” message. Now when I log into TS5, it logs in just fine, but has none of my information from TS3 and I can no longer long into the TS3 client. I have found the old backup key from myteamspeak for the TS3 client, but I do not see a way to use it. Would appreciate some assistance.
As you already wrote you ignored the warning that your account data gets overwritten and you continued…
If you have already continued and there is no longer an popup in TS3 to enter the recovery key, your data cannot be recovered. You can only recover the data if you have a device that has not been connected to the internet.
While the loss of the data is annoying, your response doesn’t really address the main problem, which is I can no longer log into myteamspeak on TS3. It will only log in on TS5. I was logged into myteamspeak on TS3 and it was synced. Trying to log into TS5 kept giving me an error, which is why I reset the password. Now I can’t log into myteamspeak with TS3. The TS3 client has all of the information locally, which could be synced again if I could get it to login.
Then please post your client log. (CTRL + L)

Update for you. TS3 is now letting me log in. It lost all the data, which is expected, but annoying. I don’t know why TS5 would not accept my login when it worked fine on TS3, but it’s a simple matter of putting all the servers back in manually. Just because I wanted to help a friend get TS5 going on their computer.
