So the category is also no longer displayed under the tab category?
this is weird, the first time I tried it was not but the second it is. However I believe it is intentional that the category remains in place

It is strange,
on the one hand there is “Remove Category”, 
on the other there is “Delete Category”. 
Perhaps it is intended that when the category is removed, only the category should be removed from the rooms/contacts and not deleted completely. Of course, that would not be entirely sensible.

I agree with you, so I saw it too, but it would make sense if you would “fix” xD

I would not suggest to change that.
That way you can set a deleted category again.
