Hello everyone,
I’m having a persistent connection issue with the TeamSpeak 6 client and would like to know if anyone else is experiencing the same problem or has a solution.
Problem:
- I cannot connect to a self-hosted TS6 server using the TS6 client.
- Error shown: “parameter not found”
- The same server works perfectly with the TeamSpeak 3 client.
Details:
- Client version: TeamSpeak 6.0.0-beta5 (Windows 11)
- Server version: 6.0.0-beta12.1 (Linux)
- Server is using a custom voice port (not the default 9987)
What I already tried:
-
Clean reinstall of TS6 (deleted all folders in AppData, LocalAppData, etc.)
-
Deleted cache
-
Created new identity
-
Tried with VPN
-
Tested using mobile hotspot
-
Confirmed that other servers (including official ones) work fine with TS
Relevant log lines:
[info] Connecting to [server]:[port]
[info] server sent ciphers:1
[info] Selected cipher:0
[warning] Error while parsing packet: parameter not found
[warning] Got command data while disconnected, dropping
[error] setWhisperReceiveMode: Didn’t find connection for id X
It seems the client successfully reaches the server and exchanges ciphers, but then fails to parse a packet coming from the server. Is this a known compatibility issue between client beta5 and server beta12.1?
Has anyone else run into this error?
Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
