Hi everyone!
I’ve developed NooXTS, a lightweight, external overlay specifically for TeamSpeak 6 that shows only the users in your current channel while you’re gaming. It automatically appears/hides when a game is running, with real-time visual indicators for talking, muted, and screensharing users.
Main Features:
- Smart visibility — Overlay shows only when a monitored game is detected and running (hides otherwise)
- Real-time status icons:
- Green highlight/dot for talking
- Mute icon for muted users
- Purple icon for screensharing
- Displays only users in your current channel (no full server clutter)
- Draggable & click-through mode (enable/disable via tray)
- Auto-update from GitHub releases
- Easy game list management via system tray settings (add/remove .exe files)
- Persistent settings + secure API key storage
- Windows system tray integration for quick access
How it works:
- Uses TeamSpeak 6 Remote Control API via WebSockets for real-time data
- Monitors running processes to detect games (using psutil)
- Runs as a separate Windows app (no injection, fully external & safe)
- Requires TeamSpeak 6 with Remote Control enabled (one-time authorization)
Download & Installation:
- Latest release : Latest Version for Download
- Just download NooXTSOverlay.exe, put it in a folder, run it → authorize in TS6 when prompted.
- For source code / developers: Python 3.10+ version available in releases too.
Support Development
This project is developed independently.
If you’d like to support future updates and new features:
Requirements:
- Windows 10/11
- TeamSpeak 6 (latest version recommended)
- Remote Control API enabled in TS6 settings
It’s open source (MIT license), feedback, bug reports, feature suggestions and pull requests are very welcome! ![]()
Let me know what you think, if it works well in your setup, or if you’d like any specific improvements (e.g. more customization, Linux support later, etc.).
Happy gaming & talking!
