TS6 permision system and thoughts about TS6

In TS3 there was a single Permissions window where every permission could be edited directly. In TS6, permissions are now spread across three areas: Server Groups, Channel Groups, and Channel Permissions. So where are the Client Permissions and Channel Client Permissions?
I never really used them because, in my opinion, it’s much better to manage permissions through groups. But I’d still like to know where to find them.

Second question: How do I set a grant permission for b_client_is_priority_speaker for the Channel Admin (CA) group?
I can’t see any options for Skip, Negate, or Grant values. Have those options been removed in TS6, or do I need to use a query connection to set them?

Third point: Screen sharing is a great addition to TS6.
The interface may feel a bit messy at first, but people can get used to it. However, TS6 is still lacking proper chat functionality.
I can’t send messages to offline users (at least not in a convenient way — I’m aware of the offline messaging system, but it’s not the same). I also can’t read chat messages that were posted while I was offline.

And most importantly: what’s the point of hosting my own server if messages are still sent somewhere outside?
The TS6 client should use my server to send and receive messages.

A bit of context about me and potential use cases for TeamSpeak:
I’m an IT geek and a sysadmin/network admin working for several companies. One of them is currently testing the TS6 client with a TS3 server backend.
TS6 could be a great solution — if it offered a true on-premise chat system.

There’s a big gap in the market after Skype was shut down.
XMPP is too complicated and hard to manage, and it only offers IM.
Other solutions like Microsoft Teams are far too expensive for most companies.

None of these companies are looking for inter-server messaging. They all want a local, self-hosted voice and chat system.
Please, consider making this possible in TS6.

That said, I’m really glad to see that TeamSpeak is still being developed and trying to reclaim its place in the market.
I’ve been a fan of yours for decades and I’m happy to help however I can — but I’m a bit worried that you might be trying to build a “Discord-plus-something” clone.

The problem is, that approach might not convince many users.
Right now, it feels more like TS3 with screen sharing — and that alone isn’t enough to encourage people to switch from TS3.

Right click the Server header at the top of the Server Tree → Show PermissionsCustom PermissionsChannel or Clients

You can either right click → Add Permissions or click the blue + symbol

Right click on a permission → Add Negate Flag or Add Skip Flag

For that you need to use the channel or client chat. Offline Messages will most likely not come back.
