Without good text channels 90% of the Discord users will not change.
The most Projects dont want have multiple Plattforms, today is DIscord the Alternate to Teamspeak AND Websites, and if I switch to Teamspeak, i need to make a Homepage and Forum for Discuss and talking
Anyone who uses Discord as a forum did not understand SEO and generally searchability.
How are we standing with releasing new client update, is around corner or is it a lot to do before release? Its been a while and any info would be great.
They showed us the upcoming features. I guess it’ll be done when it’s done.
Well features are known for a long time, as it was said in the past that first hardware acceleration was released to alpha testers in april.
Hardware acceleration takes time; it’s not that simple. But progress is very good.
I agree. Better to have a fully working feature than just flaming Teamspeak about bugs. There’s really no reason to complain anyway. We’ve got an awesome beta. So far, I’m totally impressed and I’ve switched back since Teamspeak 2. Finally, there’s some real progress happening!
After a little Testing the Beta 5 Release Seems to work quite well. 32 Slot limit is a must (free or as affordable 1 time payment, because where would else be the benefit except self hosting if discord and co are free).
Its awesome to see Backwards Compatibility with ts3.
P2P Screenshare and FileBrowser Seem to work quite well (compression artefects in sound aside).
I had a Issue that inside the Ts6 Client i needed to Deleete the Cache before Server Group Icons where shown (Mac and Windows).
And as you are Aware the setting of an Avatar is at this moment not working.
But all in all a really Promising Beta release so far. At least Regarding the Server Files.
With the client i cant seem to get happy. I always search funktions that where easy available in the ts3 client. I hope that there will be a Ts3 Theme for Ts6 and the backwards compatibility aswell as the free 32 slot limit for self hosting stay.
A Web Interface Client like discord has would be Awesome aswell (preferably selfhosted).
