I used the Privilege Key that is generated when the server is first booted to grant my client user / identity Server Admin on my self-hosted server. However when I right-click on the server banner and select “Show Privilege Keys” > “Create” on the client, I am unable to create anything except for a Guest key at the server level.
I’ve searched through the permissions and can’t find anything obvious preventing me from creating these. I remember back when I used to have a TS3 server, I was able to designate server-level permissions from the client without relying on ServerQuery commands/management applications… Is this no longer the case?
First of all, I ask myself the rather banal question of whether you are even allowed to assign server admin permissions.
What are the i_group_member_add_power and i_group_modify_power settings for server admin on your server?
It’s possible that the i_group_needed_modify_power for the server admin is higher than the assigned i_group_modify_power.
Another thing is to make sure you have the skip flag active in the permissions so that channel/client rights do not override the permissions of your server group.
Incidentally, I strongly assume that you already have the following permissions:
btw.
in my opinion the beta client and its permissions are now so advanced that you can work directly on the server inside the client.
