When using VAD and TeamSpeak 5, a channel with “Force Push to Talk” ticked will not force a TeamSpeak 5 client to use PTT, and instead let them talk freely.
We have that issue on or list.

we are running a gaming community TS Server, and most people use TS3.
We usually allow people to be noisy (voice activation), however in raids with up to 40 people in a channel, that can get a lot of annoying. So we set up a few channels, that force PTT.
Channel permissions look like this:
Anyone on TS3 obeys that rule. People with TS5 seem to be able to ignore this.
I was able to find server-wide settings for forcing PTT in the TS5 client, but I might be blind or too stupid to find channel settings in there.
Is that a feature that TS5 beta doesn’t have, yet?

II have just bought my first TS server and running TS6 - i have set the permission to require PTT for groups and channels but find other users running TS6 arent forced to use PTT, but if they connect to the server using TS3 it does force this.
Anyone know a solution?
Like mentioned above this is still an open issue that needs to be fixed.
It needs to be a priority then as this feature is vital for some communities including my own when we have 50 people in one channel for a competitive game
This fix / feature requires a bit more evaluation and testing as with the current hotkey implementation some Linux users would not be able to talk.
I noticed that the b_client_force_push_to_talk permission is not working correctly in TeamSpeak 6 v6.0.0-beta4.1. The permission is enabled through the Force Push-To-Talk server group and should prevent the affected client from transmitting by Voice Activation.
For comparison, I connected to the same server with both the TeamSpeak 6 client and the TeamSpeak 3 client. Both clients are assigned to the same server group containing the b_client_force_push_to_talk permission
and Voice Activation is configured on both clients.
As shown in the attached screenshot, the TeamSpeak 6 client can transmit using Voice Activation despite having the Force Push-To-Talk server group. The TeamSpeak 3 client, however, correctly applies the permission and does not allow transmission without pressing the configured Push-to-Talk key.
The permission and server group are configured correctly, as everything works as expected in TeamSpeak 3. It seems that TeamSpeak 6 simply does not apply the b_client_force_push_to_talk permission.
TeamSpeak 6 should disable Voice Activation when this permission is set and only allow the user to transmit while pressing the Push-to-Talk key.
