Hi everyone! I want to share an overlay for TeamSpeak 6 that I built myself.
Short story: I tried the overlays that already exist, and for some reason none of them worked on my PC. Not one of them actually showed who was talking. So I sat down and wrote my own.
What it does. It shows the people in your current voice channel. Every person gets their own capsule, the speaker’s nickname lights up green, a muted mic and muted audio have separate red icons, and when someone new joins, their capsule flashes blue for a moment. If a person filled in the “Description” field in their client, you can show the nickname together with their real name. myTeamSpeak avatars load automatically when they exist.
The main thing I needed for myself: no bots, no server admin rights, and nothing to configure on the server. The overlay talks to your TeamSpeak client on the same PC through Remote Apps. Only the person who wants the panel on screen has to install it, and everyone else installs nothing.
It also does: Russian and English interface, show and hide with Alt+T, tray control, click-through mode, launch together with Windows, configurable port, font size and panel width.
Build for Windows 10 and 11 x64, self-contained, so no separate .NET installation is needed. MIT license, completely free. It sends nothing out except avatar downloads, and it never reads game memory.
Being upfront about the limits: it works over windowed and borderless games, while exclusive fullscreen depends on the game and your Windows settings. The project is young, and it is not an official TeamSpeak app.
I would love feedback: what works, what does not, what is missing ![]()
