When you report back to us reading everything below “What can you do?” please answer us
What device do you use and are your drivers up to date?
Please tell us your capture or playback settings?
What have you tried so far?
What can you do?
Make sure drivers are updated.
Check your default Capture and Playback devices
Especially for Windows 8.1 and newer > Check your default Communication devices.
Try to select your device directly and not default under
TS3 : Tools > Options > Playback or Capture.
TS5: Options > Audio
TS3: Is there a capture or playback profile set in your bookmark?
Please check your settings under Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > Click on “Go Advanced”
Are these the right profiles? Compare them with these from your settings.
On Windows 10 after updating to version 1803 it is required that access to your microphone is enabled.
These 2 settings must be enabled:
Microphone access for this device
Allow apps to access your microphone
The settings can be found under Settings -> Privacy -> Microphone (left side)
You can also press Windows key + R and type in ms-settings:privacy-microphone to reach that setting.
On Mac Os you must make sure access to the microphone is granted before you can use it.
Try to sending something with Push-To-Talk/Continuous Transmissions enabled.
Is the slider in your capture profile set to high? Test and move it in the local test mode.
Are you sure, that you channel isn’t moderated and or you have enough talk power to speak in it?
Check that the channel isn’t in silence mode. This happens when a lot users (differs from server server to server via server setting) are in channel.
Is the user you can not hear muted?
Did your turn down the volume? Open Tools -> Options -> Playback and turn the Voice Volume Adjustment slider up.
Is the client muted in the Windows volume mixer? Do a right-click on the speaker icon in your tray and then select Open Mixer to check this
Don’t forget that some devices also have mute function and you may muted your microphone there.
Offer us a Client log!
Logs can be found under %appdata%\TS3client\logs.

What sound card and/or headset do you use? On board sound (AMD) Headset is irrelevant, since problem exists just when trying to run through speakers
What operation system is running? Windows 10 Pro
Are all important OS updates installed? All patches are installed
Are latest drivers (Sound Card, Network Card, USB devices, Graphics Card etc.) installed? Everythng up to date
Did it work before? Yes. Had a problem a week ago with no voice, but worked perfectly the next day. Have not tried to use in 6 days. Other programs have sound.
What have you tried? Have reinstalled twice. The second time by doing a complete uninstall, but to no avail. None of the playback settings have been changed since it worked. It has worked reliably up until the problem last week. Checked to make sure it wasn’t just muted, but it wasn’t
Selecting the device directly seems to have solved my problem, which is weird, because it was working correctly just a week ago using the default, but no matter. Thank you for your assistance
Hello, so recently ive been having trouble with TS3. i cant hear any audio and i never have.
i have a turtle beach headset, which for some reason doesn’t have a device. it works perfectly with everything else EXCEPT teamspeak. please help me as my friends dont have discord but they got a teamspeak server to use instead of discord.
Been using TS3 for a while and tonight I logged in and though I could hear the game and people could apparently hear me, I could not hear anyone. What happened? Did I click something I shouldn’t have?
HELP MEH! PUH-LEASE!
Seriously - I’ve deleted and reinstalled TS3, including ID and saved info and nothing changes. I can talk and hear on Discord using the same headset, so it’s not the headset. People have confirmed they can hear me talking, but have to type in chat boxes to respond.
I have the following options:
D55-D2 (Nvidia High Definition Audio)
Speakers (USB Audio Device)
Headphones (Oculus Virtual Audio Device)
Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
It does not matter which one I am on. I cannot hear anything.
Hi. I’m running what I’m pretty sure is the most recent version of teamspeak on Win10, and am using a pretty generic usb headset for the playback device.
The other day, I was doing some work from home and stepped away from my computer, and when I come back, I can hear this pitch coming from my headphones. I checked the volume mixer to see what application was creating the noise, but it wasn’t showing anything as a specific cause of it.
I ended up unplugging and plugging the headset back in, and now teamspeak will not play any noises through the headset. No other applications are having this problem, and I’m not sure what to do.
Teamspeak works fine with a different headset, but I’d prefer to use the USB headset.
Hi,
1 : Check in windows sound settings if ur usb headset is set as default communication device.
2 : check the settings in TS if every thing is ok.
3 : Maybe a profile problem in TS.
