How does Tournament Edition work? What features does it have over the regular TS6 Client?
The Tournament Edition is a special TeamSpeak Client built for esports and tournament organizers. It’s a stripped down version of TeamSpeak to just what’s needed for voice comms, while admins and coaches get a few extra things to manage teams and channels more easily.
It’s not available to the public and is meant for commercial use only.
Since it’s a really good looking minimized client, it would be nice to maybe sell this to the public?
It may look good, but the setup process is quite strange (not like a normal client) and would require some work on our side to revise it, as it hasn’t been touched in quite some time. Again, it wasn’t made with the public in mind. So that’s most likely not going to happen, and we definitely don’t want to allocate any resources to it, given our development time and already limited resources.
New reply to an old thread, but is the tournament edition suitable for smaller LANs, or more designed for big events like OW League? Given that, how much would an organizer have to pay to use it, or does pricing vary based on scale?
Exclusively for esports only just ask [email protected]
You don’t need to ask our sales/support about it. As I mentioned in my earlier reply, it is not available to the public, and the relevant reference or showcase will be removed from the website.
It’s not available, not given out, and not maintained. Any use of it is purely commercial.
