  1. 7 years
  2. Windows and Android
  3. No
  4. 4
  5. a video chat / screen sharing system for discussions during game breaks

1. Overall, how long have you used TeamSpeak for?
About 10 years. First setup a teamspeak server for DayZ Mod for school and have been using it ever since for every game release.

2. What OS/OS’s are you currently using?
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, Android 10, Arch Linux 64 w/ KDE, and Fedora w/ Gnome 3.x.

3. Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?
A current owner. Our server usage has been waning due to the decreased popularity of DayZ Standalone but we still regularly use it every day. I’d imagine once this version releases everyone will come back home from Discord.

4. On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?
Either a 4 or 5 I guess? Have never needed to open a support ticket to do anything. We setup our own server on a VPS.

5. If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?
Easily embedding images/videos and maybe some support for built-in Wikis. There are some add-ons that help with this but everyone needs to be running them. Currently we heavily use empty channels that can’t be joined with description text which is a bit rough. Embedding is obvious, it raises social engagement and keeps people in the server longer. That is the secret to Discord’s success I think.

Since i was a little kid, now i am 22 and i still am amazed by the permissions.

What OS/OS’s are you currently using?

Currently using Windows 10.

Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?

At the moment no, but i’ve owned alot of servers and i wanted to start doing my own server again with advanced permissions.

On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?

About 3-4 cuz i’ve been messing around in teamspean server and making perfect server with good permissions so that everyone enjoy’s their stay at the server.

Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?

I’d would add perhaps like a screen share and show which game you are playing and like a advanced bot system to teamspeak, but overall teamspeak is pretty good.

Love,
Karel.

Been using Teamspeak since like 2015 ish.

2. What OS/OS’s are you currently using?
Using Windows 10 Home, Unraid and Android 11.

3. Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?
I am currently an inactive user, but I used Teamspeak for a long time in the past, and I’m interested in moving back to Teamspeak if possible.

4. On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?
A 4 maybe.

5. If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?
I would add: Streaming/Screen sharing/Video chat to stream gameplay to friends and to better interact with them. Embeded Images / Videos for ease of use, so people don’t have to click on so many links and to make it more user-friendly. Some sort of server info / wiki that shows new server users how to behave / engage with the server. And a centralized friend system to interact with them and see what severs they’re in / if they’re online and available.

I would really love to enhance the chat commander/whisper group functionality. It’s really necessary to speak to small groups, and then to a larger audience.

Hello, I’m looking forward to test this new teamspeak!

  1. I switched from skype to teamspeak maybe 4-5 years ago.

  2. Windows 10 (64bit)

3.I’m active user. I’m using teamspeak for around 75 hours a week.

  1. I would score my technical knowledge at 3 or 4 (but more at 3).

5.The only thing that was missing for me in teamspeak 3 is chatroom, but only with friends.

I’m happy that you got the idea to renew your product. I wish you the best in the future!

5. Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?

It must be screen and video sharing with other people on servers, and ofc more compatibility with 3rd part apps or plugins.

  • Windows 10.

Are you currently a server owner, an active user (but don’t run your own server), inactive, or a mixture of the prior?

  • I am currently not a server owner but i use teamspeak every day.

On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being the best), how would you score your technical knowledge on TS?

  • I would say my technical knowledge is about 2.

Optional question - If you could add something that doesn’t exist on TS currently, what would it be and why?

  • I think that screensharing would be a good feature. Just in general make it more like a community.
  1. Since TS2

  2. Linux/MacOS

  3. I am highly active on Teamspeak and own a server, and have owned multiple prior servers.

  4. 4/5 I know how to use the query. Currently my server is using an external DB so I’m pretty technical in general.

  5. One of the most important feature for me would be to add text-only channel with history like an IRC.
That way Teamspeak would be an all-in-one solution for self-hosters.

Thank you !

Since I think 2013.

Windows, Android and Linux

Active User but (currently) not a Server Owner. I had a couple tho.

I would give me a three out of five if Servers are included. Just the Client alone I know perfectly well 4,5/5

Screenshare. Doesn’t need to be saved but its way nicer than having to download a third party tool.
