Beta release - limited slots available on Server

Does the beta server only support up to 5 clients?
While adjusting the maximum user limit on the ts6-server, I encountered the error:
“Failed to set property flush: max slot limit reached x”

Currently the self hosted TS 6 Server is only available with 5 Slots.

I’m genuinely beyond disappointed with you. Honestly, I’ve just about had enough. For years, you’ve repeatedly let us down, yet we—the community—have stood steadfastly by your side, resisting Discord and proudly waving your flag. And now, we’re being brushed off with a laughable 5-slot server? Even when we explicitly asked about the rationale behind this decision, we received nothing but vague, meaningless answers.

Is this how you choose to repay our unwavering loyalty and commitment to your product?

It’s completely understandable that the server isn’t finished yet and certain features are still missing—quality indeed takes time—but deliberately and arbitrarily restricting it to only five concurrent users is utterly disrespectful and borders on insulting to a community that has remained incredibly loyal for so long.

Just wait a little longer—I believe an update will be released very soon.

ok fight!

That will only happen if there’s enough pushback.

It’s great that the server is finally available, but you could have saved yourselves the trouble.

What are we supposed to do with 5 slots?

And even if more slots were possible, we wouldn’t even be allowed to use our purchased licence? That must be a bad joke, right?

How about just a drag-and-drop upgrade like before?

More and more people are switching to Discord, and this will probably be the final nail in your coffin.

i’m really curious to see if they get it.
i hardly have any people using teamspeak anymore, arguments are getting harder and harder. i think they just don’t want to understand it.

I understand that some features take time to deliver, and no one expects perfection from day one. But an arbitrary and deliberate 5-user limit, especially without clear justification, feels like a slap in the face to a community that has remained loyal for years. It’s not just disappointing — it’s demoralizing.

Dear community, it’s time we start being honest with ourselves. As painful as it is to admit, we have to face the reality: this project is dead.

Yes, I also think that the decision-makers made a major mistake here. And the intention behind this “5 slots” decision becomes quite clear when you read this: TS6 BETA | Community Update & Insights. They write:

“Introducing a Higher-Tier Plan: To accommodate many requests for larger communities, we’re planning to add a new tier with a capacity of up to 64 Slots (with a potential bonus bringing the total to 68). This is a direct response to feedback for more flexible and scalable community plans.”

This suggests that Teamspeak wants to become a host itself (much like Discord does), in order to extract even more money.

And they completely fail to understand that the only reason Teamspeak still exists is because it isn’t like Discord. I think cognitive dissonance plays a major role here.
