Please take have a look on this Thread: How do I get a new recovery key? My Badges are not shown in client
Thanks.
Greetings,
I bought a new pc, downloaded ts3, connected with my account and bam all my badges are gone. Is there a way to fix this?
First of all, check if you logged to correct myTeamSpeak account. Yes, this might sound silly, but maybe you got something wrong while logging in.
After that, check if your badges appear in client Settings > myTeamSpeak (hope I’m not wrong with that, as I used TS3 quite a while ago).
Either you are not logged in with the same account or you reset your password without the necessary recovery key. In this case all your stored bookmarks and identities will be gone and you won’t be able to access your badges too unless you make a new recovery key.
I am logged in with the correct account and my badges show on the TeamSpeak side but not in the app:
it tells me i need some kind of recovery key but i dont have a “key”
That’s the problem.
Your personal data is encrypted with your password and can only be decrypted by the password or the recovery key. As you changed the password you need the recovery key in order to decrypt your personal data again.
If you did not write that recovery key down as you were told to there is no way of recovering that data.
This is not a stupid design decision from TeamSpeak but rather the only way to ensure your data is secure and can not even be accessed by TS themselves.
AFAIK the badges are not affected by the fallback feature, thus you only loose your old identities, hotkey profiles and bookmarks.
I never wrote down that key thats more a fault from my side thanks for letting me know yall have a great evening
But anyway you can take a Look here: Unable to decrypt data There is a good explanation.
Hello there,
since the creation of my “myTeamSpeak” account I have the problem, that no elements (Identities, Contacts, Favorites, …) whatsoever are synchronized. If I open for example the identities view on my Windows machine, there are no listed identities but the cursor has thelinfinite loading spinning wheel.
On other machines, regardless of the OS there are no items synchronized.
And yes, I do have automatic element synchronization option enabled.
As it seems, this is rather a bug, than a error on my side, but the support has rejected me and told me to go here. I was one of the early adopters of myTeamSpeak and the issue has been there since then.
Has anyone else experienced the issue or knows a way to fix it (e.g. modify local files or something idk)?
Sincerely,
Butzlabben
Synchronization will only work when items (bookmarks, identities, hotkey profiles, whisper lists) are listed in Synchronized and not in Local. Please make sure that you dont have any of this in the Local Area, and make sure that are shown in synchronized. I have no clue of this, because by me is all working fine.
Are you sure your items where in Sync and not in Local (offline) section?
Just having Sync activated is no guarantee, that your items have been added to your account.
There are several ways to leave your stuff offline, even when Sync is activated.
I can’t even move the specified items into the synchronized list, as the mentioned eternal loading spinning wheel is there and the items do not get listed. Thus I asked if there is any way to locally move these files for example.
Screams like you are not even connected to myTeamSpeak or not logged in for sync.
Check your client log for errors and when you did reset your password then enter your recovery key.
Upon your post I looked up my old E-Mails and found out, that I indeed did a password recovery request 1 1/2 years ago. I am not able to find my recovery key. Is there any possibility to reset the myTeamSpeak account to a specific state from a PC?
So I’ve added quite a few Badges to my account but when I had to reset my PC all of my badges were unable to be used and didn’t show up anymore. If I use the same code it says, that I’ve already used that badge. I have checked on www.myteamspeak.com and found all my badges were available on there but not on my actual client. Any help?
1 1\2 years?
So you had to enter a key or made the fallback but got a new key already
OR ignored the problem since this
OR you never did reset it
OR set the old password on reset.
Else you must do a fallback.
You are sure that everything is fine? CHECK THE CLIENT LOG.
Reset = Fallback but only possible when you get asked for a recovery key.
You are not logged in or did make a password reset.
pls dont be Ondřej Janča and save it. I lost my data cuz of it !!! dont be same Ondřej Janča like me
Hi, I logged in to my TeamSpeak, in TS3, but all my bookmarks, identities, and badges are disappeared, but if I go in my web dashboard, I can see all my badges, and I’m using the auto-sync.
