Is the no audio capture issue on Linux acknowledged ? How bad does it look ?
Audio capturing is not yet implemented on Linux, it’s also on our roadmap and will be tackled.
Hello everyone,
I’m on linux wayland and wanted to use screensharing with my friends. It worked at first but now if I want to open a new screensharing session, the audio option is just grayed out and I don’t know what to do to fix it.
any help is appreciated.

thanks for the fast reply.
Have a nice day.
Hi guys,
i was just streaming my game on linux and my friends notified me, that they are unable to hear any sound. upon checking my settings i noticed that i am not able to use this on my client? Is this a linux thing or do i have to configure some specific? The error states “This app does not support Audio recording (translated from german in this case) And i am not able to click on the button either
This is indeed not yet implemented but will hopefully be added soon.
Hi,
there is still no update to this issue?
+1 I am also very interested to see this feature implemented, last ting that keeps me and my buddies in Discord for the occasional streaming evenings!
Great job so far, very hyped!
I’m also waiting for this. It’s the last feature I need so I can ditch discord (as long as it automatically excludes teamspeak audio like on windows).
What do I gotta do to contribute to this feature? Linux users’ need some love. Final step to finally ditch Discord forever. I hate it with all my heart.
I think for Wayland, the xdg-desktop-portal(s) can just share the audio as well(?) Even if not, Teamspeak could just implement it so it intercepts outputs going into the default pipewire sinks(?)
Either way for now if you want audio sharing, you could intercept the audio outputs you want and rewire it with a patchwire program like qpwgraph, helvum, etc.
Any updates on streaming audio in Linux client?
Is there an estimated release date for Linux audio? For now, I’m managing to redirect audio from speakers to the microphone, but there’s a delay in streaming.
For a friend and me this too is the only thing holding us back from fully switching to ts6
This also affects my team. We’re moving from Discord, and at this point it’s the only thing holding us back.
I’m waiting for this to fully migrate from discord also. Now it’s easier to implement this kind of thing because of pipewire adoption on almost all distros
Is this only wayland issue ?
