Restore of TS3 Server Snapshot in TS6 Server

Hi,

I tried to restore a Snapshot from a TS3 Server to a TS6 Server to test it.

I log into the query commandline via SSH. I select the Server, type serversnapshotdeploy and paste the data, beginning with “version=3 data=xxxyyyzzz“

The response I get is: error id=1538 msg=invalid\sparameter

Am I missing out on something?

By the way, this happens with any other command too, as I just noticed

Hey there,
a direct way to restore your ts3 snapshot on a ts6 server is not possible afaik.
Have a look at this post to migrate it by “hand”

Ohhh I just noticed the ssh commandline doesn’t take the comlete snapshot. It cuts off after like half of the data. How can I fix that?

So restoring TS3 Snapshots into TS6 IS possible, right? I just happen to have this Problem: Restore of TS3 Server Snapshot in TS6 Server

Any help would be highly appreciated. I want to migrate from other hardware and don’t want to set up TS3 first before then switching to TS6 again.

No it is not possible as we’ve had internal changes which makes a full migration not possible at this time.
