its like a domain for you teamspeak. People can connect threw this nickname to your server.

This allows you to set aliases for domains / IPs for anyone to use.
e.g.
You have a server running on somereallylongdomain.example.com:1234
Then you can register a nickname NICK and people can enter it to join the server instead of the really long domain.
