TeamSpeak 3 Client 3.5.6

We just released an update for TS3.

We added some feature for environment where Admins want to lock where users should not be able to change settings in the client and want to define which config name a user does use.

As some of you requested you can now unhide Groups you can not assign.

=== Client Release 3.5.6 - 25 Nov 2020
! TeamSpeak is going back to the roots remembering its core values. Big thanks
to our community and our users for your trust and continued support. We would
  be nothing without you!

+ Added option to hide server/channel group icons in client context menus.
+ Added option to show inaccessible server/channel groups in client context
menus as requested in our community forums.

new -locksettings commandline parameter or by placing a settings.lock file
  in the TeamSpeak config/installation directory.
+ Added -configname commandline parameter, which can be used to specifiy a
distinct name for your user settings in combination with -localconfig on
  Windows (example: -localconfig -configname=test).
* Updated UI with our new logo.

same here, official github repo seems to be still on api version 23

Do not worry about the Update to be incompatible.
API version 23 still is compatible with this beta.

We missed to mention this in the change log.

This is good to know. But an updated API that still is compatible means there are new features.
I would really appreciate a new commit with all the changes and especially a new release.
It was never really nice having to use the documentation for API version 23 and comparing the docs with the later commits. Not even talking about the outdated documentation itself.

@TS.ChrisR I think i found a small issue with the last update. Don’t know if this was intened but after updating to 3.5.6 when i attempt to change the channel group of any user it gives me only the option to changed the inherited one from the parent channel but not the one for the current channel only.
Parent channel - Channel Group Options

Sub channel - Channel Group Options

would you please be so kind and let us know more?

There hasn’t been an update for the Teamspeak 3 client and server in ages. For months the Teamspeak 3 client 3.5.7 is in beta. Is there any news soon when it will finally become stable?
