The M1 chip uses the ARM architecture. It is fundamentally different from the “usual” x86 architecture.
As far as I know TeamSpeak (currently) does not support ARM devices.

Apple emulates x68 and teamspeak should work flawlessly once it is installed. To me it sounds as if he cannot download it…

Hi
when will an ARM version of teamspeak be on the mac?

Hi,

Now that it’s 2025, macOS has almost fully transitioned to the ARM architecture. Would you consider providing an ARM-compatible build for both the client and server, or at least for the macOS client?

An increasing number of users are moving to ARM-based laptops. This trend extends beyond macOS—Windows is also steadily enhancing its support for ARM. Moreover, many cloud providers now offer ARM-based instances that are considerably more cost-effective. Supporting ARM would allow the TS server to run on these instances, potentially reducing costs by around 30%. It could even be deployed on a Raspberry Pi, provided ARM support is available.
