No way mate! They didn’t even mention the self hosted option in the release notes. And I imagine they want to make some money from the community servers first. There aren’t really any signs that we will ever get the updated executables even. That one Twitter post is pretty vague in what we can “HOST”.

there are two different modes. P2P should also be working on old teamspeak versions. They just dont want to do it.

you can screenshare via chat or even group chat. You don’t even need a server. fyi
Yeah okay, but if you are with a lot of people in a server, having it directly onto the server is waaaaaaaaaay better.

But hyping the new release without the release of the new server, why?
Why just not delay a little bit the release of the new version waiting the server to be stable ?

Actually, it would be very nice to know the answer to one question: will we be able access TS6 server files for free?

When is Teamspeak 6 server going to be released? I see the ability on the official servers, but nothing yet for locally hosted servers. Hoping this can be the thread for updates about this.

The fact that they’re saying very little about the topic is leading me to believe it isn’t coming any time soon. Maybe I’m wrong, but every discussion I’ve seen across the forums and x about it they dodge the question quite hard. At least a “we’re hoping to bring it this week” would go a long way.
