Unable to log in to TeamSpeak 3 (Desktop and mobile) after enabling two-factor authentication

Hello TeamSpeak Support,

I’m experiencing a login issue with the TeamSpeak 3 application. After enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on my TeamSpeak account, I can no longer log in using the TeamSpeak 3 client. The login fails without providing a clear error message.

I’ve verified that my credentials are correct and that 2FA is working on the website, but the desktop application doesn’t seem to support or prompt for the second authentication step.

Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue or whether TeamSpeak 3 supports 2FA login? If there’s a workaround or update available, I’d appreciate your guidance.

Hello everyone,

I recently downloaded TeamSpeak 3 again on my new computer. I’m trying to log in with my myTeamSpeak account, but it keeps saying “Login failed” no matter what I do. I’ve restarted the program several times, including with administrator login. I can log in to the website without any problems. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is also enabled.

Perhaps someone here can help me.

TeamSpeak 3 isn’t compatible with 2FA atm!

So i have to deactivate and be unsecure cause TS3 isnt up2date ?!

i found this problem solved after delete Two Factor Authentication (2FA)

so sad so sad

currently 2FA isn’t supported in teamspeak 3. Thats the reason you can’t login.

Hello,

Unfortunately, I have lost my TeamSpeak 3 recovery key and am trying to use the fallback function. I tried refreshing the recovery key using TeamSpeak 6, but TS3 does not accept this key, which I assume is correct behaviour.

When I click on the Fallback button and confirm the warning, the window closes and just leaves the error text ‘Fallback failed’. Checking the client log, I can see the encryption errors due to the missing recovery key, but there is nothing about the fallback.

The Recovery Keys on TS3 and TS6 are the same, as you share the same account.

  • Are you using the correct password in TS3?
  • Do you have a 2FA set up on your account?

Thanks for the reply! Good to know, that the keys are shared.

I am using the correct password in TS3, but receive “Login failed” as error during a login attempt using the correct data. Also, I have 2FA setup and enabled on my account.

For validation, I successfully logged into myTeamspeak on the website with the same login details.

That is the issue :wink:

I think I have simillar issue with ios. App is telling that its “unknown error” (account has 2fa enabled). 3.8.2. Logging in works normally with account that does not have 2fa enabled.

We still cannot log into the mobile app when we have the F2A activated, the mobile app isn’t able to ask the F2A code so we can’t log in, please do something.

How, in 2026, does the mobile app still not support 2FA?

Not sure why the app won’t let me login. There’s no place I can enter the 2FA code?

Yes i have 2FA enable, on the Website can i login, login in the client is not possible
