What do I need to do to create a server snapshot

Hello,

I am trying to create a snapshot of my self-hosted teamspeak server. I am using the server query interface to try to complete this task. I remember seeing an article saying that the server needs to be stopped. I stoped it with the interface, but when I type the command to create the snapshot, it says something about an invalid server ID. Also, when I try to start the server again, it gives me an error. So, how do I give permissions to my server query login? I created it on the client, but I find that ther are a lot of things I can’t do. I use my own hardware to host my server. Also, I tried to create another server, just as a test, but I cannot accomplish that either. Is there something I need to do to give the server query user permissions? I’ve looked at the manual, but can’t find anything.

You can have a look here Don't have your Server Admin Query password? Look here!

There you’ll find all different methods to override the default password for the serveradmin Query password.

After the server is restarted and the new password is applied, you should be able to create a Snapshot like this:

1 is in this example your VirtualServer ID

serveradmin> use 1
error id=0 msg=ok

serveradmin@9987(1):online> serversnapshotcreate
version=3 data=KLUv\/WT81iWYAAqJQBpFEGto25gCAAAAQF
