I tried with 3 differents communities but had the swame problem everytime: when I create a community, wait, then click to claim it it opens the TS client then I get a connection error. Looks like there’s no way for me to connect to any of the three test communities I created.
I’m also getting this issue. I can connect to the public community servers just fine, but the ones I’ve created myself are giving the failed connection initialization error.
Same issue here, joined TS 3 for a specific server, but they said their server was on TS 6, so I swapped there, but I still cannot connect, it just says “Failed Connection Initialization”. Disabled firewall and even tried a VPN to see. I can connect to the official server no problem, but not the private server my friends have.
I was not able to connect, but looking around the forum it seemed like the system has been overloaded recently and new servers may take a while (I saw a timeframe of 3 hours get thrown around) to get initialized. I went to bed and woke up thinking surely it would be available by now… 7 hours later, still nothing.
Unclear why this is happening as I am paying for an officially hosted server. I have no particular firewall rules etc. and am able to connect to official public servers just fine.
Since this is NOT self-hosted I don’t have much control over the actual server side of things, so I expected that surely it would run out of the box? So this is very frustrating.
I do think it’s ridiculous that TS is having an influx of new customers and they are
a. not informing customers upfront when creating a community, that it may not be immediately available (the myteamspeak interface heavily implies things are up and running right away) and
b. expecting them to get support through poorly managed forum topics where you merge like 30 different people’s varied issues, and where trying to troubleshoot based on the discussion is neigh impossible
I’ve had TS6 in the back of my mind as an option for migrating away from Discord for a long time, but at this rate they are burning the good will candle at both ends. You could maybe get away with this approach as a free service, but having this experience as a paying customer.. it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I have also had issues since buying a community server last night. I cannot connect at all with the failed connection initialization reason. Local servers work just fine, I would imagine if I installed the server binary to a remote linux-server, it would work just fine.
But, when I am trying to demo teamspeak and test the voice and streaming with my friends, I don’t want to go rent a real server, install ts, configure the ports, etc. I just want to use the simple option with the free trial (like 99% of initial customers will also want). Feels bad that this is happening during probably teamspeak’s greatest potential to obtain some percentage of the competitors customers…
I recently created a new TS community using the website. Subscription paid, community is active but when I click on the “claim” button or try to join it via the TS6 client, I have a message “unable to establish connection with the teamspeak server” Reason : failed connection initialization
Is there a waiting time before the community is fully operational ? (the community have been created 10mins ago)
I have the same issue and thought it would solve itself after a few hours but unfortunately not. I bought a community yesterday and still cant connect. Same error message you have. I have already written the support but seems they will not act until tomorrow.
