You can't connect to a server?

There are many reasons why a connection could not be made to desired server.

  • Check that you really did entered the right address, IP or server nickname
  • Make sure, that your server is not offline. Yes this happens sometimes.
    In that case ask a buddy to connect to the server or contact your server host/the admin.
  • Try to connect to our test server first. Please try both links under this text for testing.

  • Can friends connect to the server? compare what they did enter in their bookmark or Quick connect field.
  • Are you sure, you did not block the client in your firewall?
  • If it fails, check your firewall settings, maybe you have blocked the client or your disallowed UDP traffic through your router or firewall.
  • If you can reach the server, ask their server provider for network problems or maybe your or their provider blocked your country.
  • Make sure ,that the server host has opened port 9987 for UDP traffic
  • Make sure your ISP allows voice programs which need UDP at all.
  • When connecting to a computer in own network always use the LAN IP of that computer. Same counts for mobile clients when you are connected in WLAN.
  • Hint: The client does not need any port forwarding. You only need to be able to connect via UDP to servers.

Additional connection problems in mobile client (Android and iOS)

Follow all steps above first!

  • Use WLAN when mobile connection is blocked from your mobile service provider or has a bad quality or an high ping.
  • Check your connection quality in 3G/4G/5G/WLAN network.
  • Check your ping to target server.
  • Allow the client to connect if you have a antivirus or firewall installed

Hello,

As of today I cant connect to any server, whenever I try I get a “<13:09:34> Failed to connect to server” error message.
A friend of mine is able to connect and an other friend has the same problem as me. All 3 of us are under the same ISP.
I tried these solutions provided but none of them help. I even googled the issue, but couldn’t find any working solutions.
If anyone could help solve my issue I would greatly appreciate it.

Some time ago my teamspeak started giving this error with the server that I always used since when I started using teamspeak 
 I can only login with vpn, but with it I get a lot of lag when I go to play with my friends. Does anyone know how I can solve?

i have tried like 15 different times to connect to my server today after being disconnected out of no where and it keep coming up with “Failed to connect to server” idk how to fix it how can i fix it?

Failed to connect is a pretty generic error that could be caused by a variety of factors. Here are a few things that I would suggest trying first:

  1. Your server is off or not responding: Try pinging your server to confirm it is on and accessible:
  2. Your server is on, but Teamspeak is not running: Try connecting to your server and Running TeamSpeak
  3. Your server is on, Teamspeak is running, but your firewall is blocking connections: From your server, you can view your iptables rules or you can try to add the default rules needed for TeamSpeak.

I have a teamspeak 3 server and all my friends and everybody else can join the server with the domain but i get the error “Cant resolve Hostname”. Please help me

I can’t connect to any server it just keeps coming errors and i have tried everything from reinstalling ts3 to restarting my computer.

As in title, I can join other servers, but in one I get “failed connection initialization”. When I switch to my mobile internet, I don’t have this problem anymore. Same happens on TS and TS3, conneting by server IP.

  • Check your firewall and make sure it doesn’t block TeamSpeak at all.
  • Check your security software to make sure it doesn’t block any ports or protocols (some like to block UDP traffic which is essential for TeamSpeak)
  • Check your router and search for any firewall, SPI Firewall, DDoS Protection, Flood Protection or similar and disable those option
  • Occasionally it helped to disable “UDP Checksum Offload” for the network card. On Windows this can be found in the device manager, properties of the network adapter under the advanced tab.

The problem may be this.

We are not the host of the server and if more people have problems then you or the one who rents the server need to contact the host to get it solved.

Ps in old forum we had a whole thread just for connection issues to that company’s servers so

Do you have more information, i. e. your client logs?

For me, the server is easily accessible.

EDIT: Is it possible that you were banned there? When I connected to the server, a few people including myself were banned from the server.

Try to use the IP instead.
