How can I become an alpha tester?

hi i would like to ask if i could have the TS5 alpha wall it sounds very interesting. i heard about it through a friend and wanted to try it now.

As the team announced back in may, that they we’re searching for new alpha testers, there was the chance to apply for the opportunity to test the new client prior to the beta testers.

Since those testers have already been picked, there is currently no official chance to become an alpha tester. The team will reach out to other users from time to time, who then will be invited to become an alpha tester. As Five_Alive said in the last post of this topic.

When you will be able to become an alpha tester is unknown. Just be patient and be an active member here and you might get invited. (Definetly not a guarantee)

Latest update for 2026:

At this time, the Alpha Tester Program is closed to new applicants. New testers are personally invited by TeamSpeak Staff when additional testing support is needed.

The current Alpha registrations are currently closed. And this is unknown if this will open again.

Hey, looks very useful. I want to switch my TS3 server to TS6 and would like to try out the snapshot feature. How can I get the alpha version? I couldn’t find any reference to it whatsoever.

I would like to apply for the TeamSpeak Alpha Tester Program.

TeamSpeak has been a part of my everyday gaming and communication experience since 2014. Over the years, I have followed the development of the platform closely and experienced its evolution across multiple generations. Since 2019, I have also been participating as a Beta Tester for TeamSpeak 5/6, which has given me several years of experience testing new features, identifying issues, and providing feedback from a user’s perspective.

I would now like to take that experience one step further by contributing to the Alpha testing phase.

What I particularly enjoy about testing is not simply checking whether a new feature works. I like to find out how and under which circumstances it might fail. I tend to test different scenarios, try things in ways a normal user might not immediately consider, and attempt to reproduce issues consistently. When I find a problem, I also try to provide clear and detailed information so that the issue can be understood and reproduced by the development team.

My long-term experience with TeamSpeak 3 also gives me a useful perspective when evaluating newer versions of TeamSpeak. Having used TeamSpeak since 2014 and participated in the Beta testing process since 2019, I have been able to see how the platform has evolved over time. This allows me to look at new features not only from a technical testing perspective, but also from the perspective of a long-term user who understands how TeamSpeak is actually used in everyday situations.

I fully understand that Alpha software is expected to contain bugs, instability, and unfinished features. To me, that is not a disadvantage — it is one of the most interesting parts of being an Alpha Tester. I enjoy being able to explore new functionality at an early stage, find problems before they reach a wider audience, and provide constructive feedback that can help improve the final product.

I am not simply interested in getting early access to new features. I genuinely want to contribute to the development of TeamSpeak by testing thoroughly, reporting issues accurately, sharing constructive feedback, and helping make the product more stable and enjoyable for the wider community.

With my experience using TeamSpeak since 2014 and my background as a Beta Tester since 2019, I believe I can bring a combination of long-term product knowledge, testing experience, curiosity, and a critical but constructive mindset to the Alpha testing program.

I would be very excited to have the opportunity to contribute to TeamSpeak at an even earlier stage of development and help shape the future of the platform.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my application. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to become part of the Alpha Tester program.

While I’m obviously not in a position to judge or make any decision regarding your application, since this was posted in General Discussion, I guess it’s open for discussion :sweat_smile:.

So who’s actually applying for the Alpha Tester Program here… you or ChatGPT?

Because if the application already needs AI to explain how thoroughly you test and provide feedback, I’m genuinely curious who’ll be doing the actual testing once you get Alpha access…

I suppose the first test would be proving there’s actually a tester behind the application :wink:.
