TeamSpeak 3 Client 3.6.0

The stable version for TS3 client 3.6.0 was released.

The most important change in that client is the ability to connect to our upcoming TS5 server
The compatibility to TS5 servers is the main reason why we made this release public.

We have a TS5 server prepared for this case beta.voice.teamspeak.com

=== Client Release 3.6.0 - 14 Jun 2023
! Plugin API increased to 26 as workaround for Qt update incompatibility
+ Added option to automatically select channel chat tabs after connecting to a
  TeamSpeak Server.
+ Added support for OS dark mode stylesheet extensions (<style>_darkmode.qss).
This also supports platform specific extensions (<style>_mac_darkmode.qss).
* Improved overall compatibility with TeamSpeak Server version 5 and newer.
* Tweaked icons based on user feedback.
* myTeamSpeak sync now utilizes push service instead of polling periodically.
* Certain Microsoft specific URL schemes will no longer considered to be valid
  when using [URL] bbCode tags.
* Additional Linux dependencies:
sudo apt install libxcb-xinerama0 libatomic1 pulseaudio fontconfig
                libxcb-icccm4 libxcb-image0 libxcb-keysyms1 libxcb-render-util0
                libxcb-xkb1 libxkbcommon-x11-0
- Disabled server list browser
- Fixed a crash on macOS versions 11.3 and newer.
- Fixed an issue with duplicate names for cached badge icons.
- Fixed an issue where channel groups were not shown in client context menus
when an inherited group has been set.

Other notes for this release

  • We dropped the support for Linux 32-bit. The updater itself will offer you the update but will fail. Please consider to move to a 64 Bit operation system.
  • MacOS clients will show OS X. We leave that in there for compatibility of the TS3 SDK
  • MacOS clients are now notarized again.
  • The server weblist was removed from client.
The topic is not dead but we get to many tickets about a broken weblist. As long we did not not start the weblist again, we won't add this feature back to TS3 clients.
Whoever wants to know why we took it offline can read this statement (on purpose not clickable).

Thank you, but the Master password error I had with the beta has now become worse for me (since downgrading to 3.5.6 does not help as a workaround anymore). Any help would be appreciated.

Client crashes when connecting to any server (even to ‘voice.teamspeak.com’) after the update to 3.6.0 …

Hi everyone,
I have the same connecting issue as Hope. Not a single connecting attemp works.
Teamspeak crashes straight away if I click on connect.

Edit: I wanted to test my microphone in the options and it also crashed there as soon as I click on “Start Test”

The current update is broken. I tried to log into multiple servers and it isnt working. It crashes as soon as I try to log into a server. i know of a few other people who are having the same problem. can I roll back?

Any Windows user with a crash on connect:

Anyone with a crash please give us some details. Unfortunately this does not happen for me.

Which operation system do you use?
Is this the 32 or 64 bit client in case it happens on Windows?
Which sound card / sound device do you use?

Please give the last client log.

On windows the path is:
%AppData%\TS3Client\logs

Mac OS
~/Library/Application Support/TeamSpeak 3/logs

Linux
~/.ts3client/logs

If you have a crashdump please share it and you may try the -safemode as described below.

What you can do then is to downgrade back to 3.5.6 and ignore the update for now.

This is my last log from ts3 client

Ohh not a TS 3.6.0 crash then. Or was that after the downgrade to 3.5.6 in case you did a downgrade?

Please use mentioned -safemode parameter.

Can I revert to the previous version of teamspeak? As I have plugins that don’t work with the new version.

Yes please read this Post in this Thread:

There is a Link to download the old Client again.

Also crashes on Mac OS X (13.4) on startup or is loading forever (App not responding). Reverted back to 3.5.7 Beta as this is the only functioning version of TS3 on Mac OS X. 3.5.6 on Mac OS X is crashing on connecting to servers.

32 bit i believe

Is the app icon jumping in the Dock or what is it doing?

How long have you waited?

It’s in your client log on top like this.

Like this.

The app icon is jumping in the dock and I waited for 2 minutes or it is crashing straight after showing the window for about 2 seconds.

Oh, and I am on a M1 Pro Apple Silicon (not Intel)

Here it also jumps a while but then works.
But haven’t updated to Mac OS 13.4 yet.

Please offer your last 3.6.0 log. Path to the logs should be in
~/Library/Application Support/TeamSpeak 3/logs

Edit
Updated to Mac OS 13.4 on my M1 Airbook and app works as it should.
