TeamSpeak 6.0.0-beta1 | Screen & Camera Sharing, Communities, Design Overhaul

Hey, you, you’re finally awake…

We’re excited to introduce screen sharing to teamspeak, making it easier to collaborate, present, or simply share your screen with others. Whether you’re working on a project, gaming, hanging out with friends, or just staring at each other’s screens for 16 hours a day, this feature will add more ways to connect with one another.

We’re also rolling out a client design overhaul. While the functionality remains familiar, the new design gives TeamSpeak a refreshed, sleek look that enhances the overall experience, making it feel more modern without changing the way you use it.

Additionally, we’re launching Communities, allowing you to directly purchase your own TeamSpeak server through myTeamSpeak. This means you can set up and manage your server all in one place, with no need to create yet another account. It’s all tied directly to your myTS account, making the whole process simpler and more convenient.

For more information, and to purchase your own community, please go to: myTeamSpeak | Communities

Given the scope of this update, we’re also increasing the version number to 6.0.0 to reflect how significant this release is. All mentions of version 5 in our documentation, website, and FAQ will be updated to reflect this change.

We’re really excited about this update and can’t wait to hear what you think.
Thank you for being a part of the TeamSpeak Community! :blue_heart:

The original changelog is several thousand lines long with changes, fixes, and improvements. This changelog provides a summary of the most user-relevant updates. The full changelog is intentionally not provided because many changes are too technical or internal, which would not add value to the majority of users. Instead, we’ve curated this list to highlight the updates that matter most to your experience.

  • As always, feedback is welcome here. Please note that issues unrelated to this update should be discussed in their own dedicated threads.
  • We encourage you to share your suggestions for future releases in the appropriate threads within the suggestions and feedback area, rather than in the release thread. This is because update posts are typically closed after some time, and suggestions or feature requests may get overlooked.

The prices and features of hosted servers called “Community Plans” have been announced. I hope it won’t be what we fear :fearful:

I tested it on Linux with my friend on Windows; The Screenshare option is only available on official servers and the quality drops from fhd to 320p for unknown reasons. It then uses the CPU and therefore the GPU inefficiently. I have rx7900gre and i5-12400. I tested ark ascended; minecraft; goat sim3. My total GPU consumption was 80-90W due to the CPU. Its not ready at all

I will express my opinion
1 In small mode the letters are very huge
2 In the left corner if more chats appear you have to move the divider to see what is hidden there

Judging by this huge design, should I redesign the server rooms again for this update?

How do I put a banner on the channel?

Same for me, I don’t know how to fix this, already tried teamspeak updating and loading the complete setup  Windows tho

I have a question about slots, is the maximum number of users that can connect to your TeamSpeak server 27? Will there be more slots?

how did you put the banner on the channel?

Please add support for hotkeys for other devices such as the gamepad, steerwheels and overlay

So wait, does TeamSpeak 6 have persistent chat or not? Last I heard Teamspeak 5 didn’t. Meaning you can’t catch up on what people have been saying when you are away.
