I just tried again today and it’s now working.

Why are the IPs of users on community servers all showing as a local area IP (10.0.0.0-10.255.255.255) range, it’s breaking the country flag function of the client/server. I see this on servers at ny1.teamspeak.com and fra1.teamspeak.com.

Ill bring it here seeing as how it was a feature in TS3 and TS5 however the update to TS6 has broken it. However you can no longer see Pokes in Messages with people and can no longer copy and paste pokes. Hopefully can get a fix on this!

Just tried it out, still doesn’t work. Same 16x16px jpegs.

They worked on TS3 so it can’t really be the files at fault here.
Community is hosted on Frankfurt if that helps.

Edit: Deleted my old Community and made a new one. Seems to work now. Likely an issue with older servers made before the fix?

Teamspeak I’ve loved you for years but I’m sorry to tell you that you’ll never catch up with Discord. You wanted to rush the release of your new version but nothing is finished, and worse you did not release the self-hosted servers at the same time, you explain to us that it is still in preparation but you should have postponed the release and deploy everything at once, you missed the opportunity

its a beta dude

When are we able to get the ability to share who is online on the server like tsviewer, or give us the ability to register our ts6 community on that website?

Can you add permissions to hide channels? I mean that users should have a specific permission on their role or client to see hidden channels or sections of hidden channels. This way, we can limit the visibility of channels for certain users, reducing unnecessary scrolling and showing only the channels we want them to see. For example, different game clans would only see the channels relevant to them, while a new user would see channels like recruitment or a lobby where they can join since it’s an open channel.

edit:

It would be a revolutionary option, as it would minimize the loading of unnecessary channels for users and reduce unnecessary scrolling until they receive the appropriate permission.

Can anyone tell? When will server update files be shared and when will we be able to use the screen sharing feature on our self-hosted servers?

I hope that they will change their mind. I think it would be clever for self-hosted servers to make communication (files, messages) thro own servers and it would not load their servers. I dont see single reason why would communication go through official servers if we pay and have own infrastructure.

5MB attachments are really low size for images / videos … I understand that they should earn money to get it for support, development etc… they should sell licenses for consumers and allow us to change max size of file, and chat should work thro our servers.

When will be server file released, its one of the biggest things that make TeamSpeak unique.

I have a “fra1.teamspeak” community server that has been up for 8 days exactly.
The icons on my server can be seen via the old versions of TS (ts3.10) but it is shown as blank img placeholders on the TS6 beta. At first the file upload was an issue but right now that issue seems resolved and this issue persists.
This is the view from TS6 main screen on my server with icons added.

Tried reinstalling with deleting all user files including Appdata. Unfortunately did not work.
Hoping to know if this an issue on my end or is this a common Community Server issue.

You could try deleting the cache \Users%user%\AppData\Local\TeamSpeak
and upload the icons via TS6 client again helped for me

thanks for the help. This worked*

Deleted the cache and just restarted the app. Perfectly fine.

This is the moment we’ve been waiting for! We’ve been using TeamSpeak since the early days of the TS2 client. We are delighted that TeamSpeak continues to evolve while retaining its core features and historical value. Many thanks, and keep up the great work!

Is there anything new related to self hosted files, can we expect them anytime soon?

I don’t think they will release it in the near future. I think at first they didn’t even have plans to release a server file, then they said they would release it as a result of the negative reactions, but I don’t think it will be released soon, maybe a few years later

Well, they said they’re fine tunning server files, it sounds to me like a matter of a days, not a months. If you’re fine tunning, it means that product is developed, you have to just fix a few minor things.

I’m afraid it’s gonna happen the same as it did to TeamSpeak 5. Core product was good but only lack of a development & improvements. It’s gonna be soon 14 days since release and no bug fixes at all. :frowning:

I was thinking like you at first, but the answer they gave me in my meeting with them showed that there was nothing clear yet.

If it was just fine tuning, why did they say they don’t have any information right now ?
